概念

比较级就是将二者进行比较产生的词形，是由形容词或副词原级转化而来。最高级表示三者或三者以上的人或物进行比较时，用最高级。形容词的最高级前面要加定冠词 the。

比较级

变形规则

比较级一般在形容词后加 er；以 e 结尾的直接加 r；以辅音字母 y 结尾的变 i 加 er；多音节直接加 more。

low -> lower
late -> later
happy -> happier
interesting -> more interesting

基本用法

（一）than 是关键，表示 "...比..."；加上比较级，表示 "...比...更..."。

This carrot is bigger than that one.
【翻译】这个胡萝卜比那个大。

（二）在比较级之前加上倍数，表示 "...比...更...倍"。

This carrot is three times bigger than that one.
【翻译】这个胡萝卜比那个大三倍。

（三）as+原级+as 表示 "...和...一样"。

This carrot is as big as that one.
【翻译】这个胡萝卜和那个一样大。

（四）as+原级+as 前加倍数。

This carrot is three times as big as that one.
【翻译】这个胡萝卜是那个的三倍大。

表示越来越

（一）用 and 连接两个比较级表示 "越来越..."。

prettier and prettier.
【翻译】越来越漂亮。

more and more beautiful.
【翻译】越来越美丽。

（二）表示 "越...，就越..."，前者是后者的原因，后者是前者的结果。

基本结构是：the + 比较级(原因) + 补充内容，the + 比较级(结果) + 补充内容。

The harder you work, the greater progress you will make.
【翻译】你越努力，取得的进步就会越大。

最高级
